I have several 5020s in operation myself, the 1st Federal Immission Control Ordinance of course applies, therefore intended only as a replacement for an existing 5020, and this approval is also expiring, so without any guarantee of use after that or for private use without a blessing.
I also have documentation of a modification, with which CO and particulate emissions are then demonstrably met as well, but this conversion is also without a blessing, since it means structural changes to the overall construction.

I have bought up many 5020s, collected them, restored them, bought new parts, sold them on complete, an insert like this weighs about 300kg, there is hardly anything comparable on the market, given the output and the flue gas temperature a reheating box in sheet steel or as a set tiled structure is essential, otherwise a lot of heat is lost up the chimney.
There are some parts still to be bought, but there are also rare pieces in the construction by now, which is why several 5020s stand there unrestored, depending on when these spare parts are usefully available again and there should be demand, at present 1x 40+40 and 1x 40+45 ready for collection, by 40+40 the side plates are meant, a 5020 like this consists of 6 (almost) identical or 3 short and 3 long (45cm) side plates, and to match there are also 2 sizes for the filling door plate, so there are 2 overall heights, which becomes a problem if you want to push a 40+45 into too small a hole, you can then react, take the top off again and put it back on through ventilation or inspection openings, but that need not work, it may be limited by the building.
Years of dealing with this cast construction have produced a corresponding fund of experience, I have no parts for the E2020 3020 4020, that was never my thing, too small a combustion chamber, I also have no parts for and no interest in the one-piece (meaning the two-piece 40+40 or 40+45cm side plates described above) 502,  the predecessor of the 5020. The 5020 was probably built from the 60s until the early 1990s. Spare parts were cast again from time to time, now the foundry in Ortrand in southern Brandenburg will soon be finished with these 5020 parts and this spare parts supply too, they increasingly serve the car industry, as long as there are still gearboxes :-)

Even with the 1st Federal Immission Control Ordinance it holds: in war and love all is..  besides, a use adapted to the 1st Federal Immission Control Ordinance remains possible, a single room, a classification for craft-set stoves, occasional use, use outside the Federal Republic,  etc...
